The Little Things In Life...

At the beginning of every new year I always make personal goals that I hope to achieve before the year is complete. This year a few of my goals are focused on loving life and living my life to its fullest. I have always admired those that continually smile and are consistently happy no matter what life throws at them. I so wish with all my heart that I could be this way. I wish that I could make every day the best day ever. That no matter what life throws at me I wish to find light in the darkness, happiness in the storm. This is one of my goals that I have set for myself this year and I have come to realize that those who find happiness in everyday life, find that happiness in the little things. So today and everyday after that, I am going to find happiness in the little things in life.

Winter Wonderland...

Living in Utah for almost two years now I have gotten somewhat used to the snow. However, the fact that it snows and is freezing cold basically till April is not the most comforting thought. I will admit, though, that snow is wonderful for two reasons: 1. Snowboarding and 2. Beautiful photos. Being surrounded by snow practically 24/7, I decided to capture some of its timeless wonder and beauty. For it truly is beautiful.

Outdoor Photography...

A few days ago a good friend of mine told me about an Outdoor Photography class that he was currently taking at BYU. My first thought was, "That's weird. The university doesn't allow any students to take any photography classes unless you have been accepted into the program." My friend continued to tell me about the class in attempts to convince me to sign up. At first I just brushed it aside and didn't think twice about it. Then I thought, what I am doing? Why am I not jumping out of my seat to take this class? I love photography! This is going to be my major right? So a couple days later I decided to sign up for the class. I am so happy and so excited that I did. I finally get to take a class that I actually have interest in. This will most definitely be my favorite class of the semester! Here are the results of my first assignment:

BYU Basketball...

A major part of being in college is attending the Football and Basketball games. In all honesty, I absolutely love sports. I am practically one of the boys. So of course, when the BYU boys Basketball team played their first conference game this past Wednesday, I had to go. They played against UNLV and won 77-73. The entire game was so close and had all the fans on the edge of their seats. In the last 2 minutes of the fourth quarter the Cougars pulled ahead and won the game. What a perfect way to start of their conference season. Go BYU Cougars!

2010...

Happy New Year! I can't believe that it is already a new year. I have spent the past couple of days reflecting on 2009 and all that has taken place in my life. I can honestly say that 2009 was a good year for me. I finally got the hang of college and saw my grades progressively improve, I discovered my love and passion for photography, I taught myself how to play the guitar, and I had my first real relationship. Looking back I have realized all of the things that I have accomplished and all of those things I wish I could have done. This year, 2010, is going to be my year. This year I am going to make changes to my life and who I am as a person. This year I want to work on changing myself. I want to live my life to its fullest. I want to truly "Love Life". This year I am going to wake up everyday and have the best day ever. Life is beautiful and short, though we may not realize it now. For this reason, I decided that this year I am not going to sit on the sidelines and let life pass me by. I am truly grateful for my life and my family. I have been blessed beyond degree. For this reason my New Year's Resolution is to be happy and to "Love Life". I hope this new year brings happiness, joy, and love to all.
